learn mandarin – ABBA LOGSITICS Pty Ltd damages shipments
I just dealt with Abba Logistics Pty Ltd, an Australian freight forwarding company (www.abbalogistics.com.au). They are absolutely rubbish. A photograph of the carton from the manufacturer showed it was an intact cube.
However when I collected the goods from the warehouse, it was falling apart, had holes and some products were missing because they fell through the holes.
What is even worse is they were suppose to send me photographs of the carton BEFORE I was suppose to collect it. They didn’t because they knew it was so damaged.
I paid almost $400 in fees to them (excluding custom broking) for this one carton. I made complaints to them which were completely ignored – they respond pretty fast when asking for payment. Now I’m taking this to Fair trading to get my money back.
Australian importers should watch out for these dodgy operators. There are FAR FAR better ones out there. Cheaper too!
My only regret is not picking the freight forwarder when I picked CIF to Sydney.
Still, I can’t believe this could happen with an Australian company!
Even my Chinese supplier provided better customer service and took better care of the goods than the Australian freight forwarder. Bloody shameful.
